Mecha Band — robot guitar & live performance

From mechanical motion to a real stage act

A complete music-performance stack for humanoid platforms: custom smart guitar, dexterous-hand control, song library, and show-ready deployment. Built for science museums, malls, brand nights, and human–robot co-performance.

Overview

Mecha Band (机甲星悦) is CORELINK’s robot music performance system. It combines a custom smart guitar, Linker Hand O6 dexterous hand, and our motion-control stack so a humanoid can play with real timing, dynamics, and stage presence — moving from “mechanical motion” to musical expression.

  • Six-axis precision control that mimics real guitar fingering
  • One-click deploy — LAN UDP discovery, tablet app, or web console
  • Millisecond response with pause, emergency stop, and seamless song switch
  • Lightweight onboard compute — no external industrial PC required

Core capabilities

Precision control, one-click start, and stage safety are built into the same package so operators can run a show without a robotics PhD.

  • Self-developed motion control with 6-axis joint precision and adaptive force/rhythm by style
  • Install once, then start from LAN UDP auto-discovery, tablet remote, or browser control
  • AI decision + servo loop for millisecond command-to-motion latency
  • All compute and sensing on the robot body — no bulky external IPC
  • Soft/hardware isolation so the performance stack does not interfere with the platform
  • One-tap pause, emergency stop, and seamless track switching mid-show

Hardware kit

The kit is modular: plug the hand and guitar mounts, put on the backpack module, and drive the show from a tablet.

  • Linker Hand O6 — 6 active + 5 passive joints, force sensing, compact and light
  • Aeroband smart guitar — stringless split design; auto / semi-auto / full-manual modes
  • Backpack ×1, guitar mounts ×2, hand mounts ×2, fingertip caps ×2
  • Tablet console + mobile Wi‑Fi kit for remote debug and cue control
  • Graphical song library — tracks and play state at a glance
  • Programmable finger bend 0–180° with trajectory memory; optional rock-paper-scissors demo gestures

Where it lands

Same stack, different rooms — education floors, retail openings, night tourism, and co-performance stages.

  • Science museums & campuses — tech ambassador shows that teach through music
  • Malls, brand launches, openings — high-shareability traffic driver
  • Scenic night tours — light, motion, and sound as a new night-economy highlight
  • Weddings, annual parties, theme parties — curated setlists per event
  • Human–robot co-performance — share the stage with live artists

Delivery & support

We ship a turnkey path from install to first show, then keep the system evolving.

  • Deployed shows and deliveries across Beijing, Tianjin, Thailand and more
  • About 6 months of dedicated remote support, ops Q&A, and firmware guidance
  • Wi‑Fi OTA updates — new features without on-site desktop remote
